How To Use AI To Fix Your Marriage Problems
Video overview: AI can give you fast answers, clever scripts, and a hundred ways to think about your marriage problems — but it can’t become the man your wife needs to feel. Dan and I talk about where AI can genuinely help, where it can mislead you, and why a more loving, affectionate marriage still depends on what you do with yourself in real life.

There’s a new thing happening with a lot of the men we talk to.

They’re using AI for their marriage problems.

And I get it.

You can sit there at midnight, scared out of your mind, type in what your wife said, explain the fight, ask what it means, ask what to say back, ask whether she’s avoidant, narcissistic, done, confused, depressed, cheating, overwhelmed, or just tired of you.

And within seconds, AI gives you an answer.

Sometimes it’s a pretty good answer.

It can help you slow down. It can give you language. It can help you see a different angle. It can remind you not to send the angry text. It can help you understand emotional patterns, attachment wounds, conflict styles, and why your wife might be reacting the way she is.

That’s not nothing.

I’m not here to pretend AI is useless. Dan and I use it. We understand why men are drawn to it. When your marriage feels shaky and your head is spinning, fast information can feel like oxygen.

But here’s the problem.

Information is not the same thing as transformation.

A script is not the same thing as confidence.

A clever answer is not the same thing as becoming a grounded man in your own home.

That’s where a lot of guys can get into trouble.

Because AI can make you feel like you’re doing the work when you’re really just collecting answers. You ask another question. Then another. Then another. You refine the prompt. You paste in another argument. You ask for the perfect response. You ask what she probably means. You ask how to make her feel safe. You ask how to get her to want you again.

And for a little while, you feel better.

Then your wife walks into the room.

Now you’re not talking to a machine. You’re looking at a real woman with a real nervous system, real pain, real memory, real disappointment, real needs, real resistance, and real instincts about who you are being in that moment.

And suddenly, the perfect script doesn’t come out quite right.

Your tone is off. Your fear is loud. Your resentment leaks through. Your body is tense. Your face is trying to look calm while your insides are screaming, “Please don’t leave me.”

She feels that.

That’s the part AI can’t do for you.

It can give you words, but it can’t give you presence. It can suggest a response, but it can’t stand in your kitchen and help you stay steady when your wife rolls her eyes, cries, shuts down, attacks, or says the one thing that hits your deepest fear.

It can’t feel the temperature of the room.

It can’t look you in the eyes and say, “Brother, you’re not telling the truth right now. You’re performing calm. You’re still trying to get her approval.”

That’s why this conversation matters.

Because I don’t want you to throw away tools that can help you. I also don’t want you to hide inside them.

AI is great for reflection. It can help you organize your thoughts. It can help you prepare for a hard conversation. It can help you see where you might be blaming, defending, assuming, or catastrophizing.

But AI cannot build your self-respect for you.

It cannot teach your body how to relax under emotional pressure.

It cannot sit with you in real time and challenge the old pattern that has been running your marriage for years.

It cannot replace other men.

That last one matters more than most guys want to admit.

Because men do not become stronger alone in their heads. We don’t become more grounded by endlessly thinking about ourselves. We grow when another man sees us clearly, tells us the truth, refuses to buy our excuses, and reminds us who we are when fear has made us forget.

That’s what coaching does when it’s done well.

It doesn’t just give you answers. It helps you become the kind of man who can live the answers.

And that’s the gap AI can’t close.

Your wife is not looking for a husband who has the best paragraph. She’s not looking for a man who has memorized the perfect emotionally intelligent response. She’s not looking for a guy who sounds like a relationship book wearing jeans.

She wants to feel you.

Clear. Honest. Warm. Strong. Present. Not needy. Not checked out. Not using “communication skills” as a tactic to get sex, reassurance, or emotional control.

That’s the work.

This episode is not anti-AI. It’s anti-hiding.

Use AI if it helps you get clearer. Use it to write down what you’re afraid to say. Use it to see a pattern you keep missing. Use it to practice slowing down before you react.

But don’t mistake the tool for the man.

At some point, you still have to stand there. You still have to speak. You still have to listen. You still have to take responsibility. You still have to become less afraid of her emotions, less dependent on her approval, and more honest about what you want.

AI can help you think.

But your marriage will change when you change how you show up.

That’s the part Dan and I care about most.

Because we’re not here to help you win an argument with better wording. We’re here to help you become a clearer, stronger, more loving man who doesn’t need a machine, a script, or his wife’s perfect reaction to know who he is.

Answers are helpful, but you still have to become the man
